Rice ATMs and zero-dong supermarkets give support to laborers with difficult living conditions Update: 06-05-2020
On the morning of May 6, Dong Nai Labor Federation presided over and coordinated with Dong Nai Department of Science and Technology to hold the “Rice ATMs and zero-dong supermarkets” to give support to local labor union members and laborers with difficult living conditions due to the impact of Covid-19 pandemic.

Through the “Rice ATMs” program with the ATMs that are designed and manufactured by Dong Nai Department of Science and Technology, each labor union member and laborer with difficult living condition is allowed to receive 5 kilos of rice. Also, zero-dong supermarkets provide free gifts of essential goods like cooking oil, sugar, milk, seasoning and so on for labor union members and laborers.

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused a great impact on the lives and livelihoods of people, workers and laborers. To give support to laborers, the provincial Labor Federation has joined hands with units, businesses, and sponsors in helping laborers through difficulties through the “Rice ATMs and zero-dong supermarkets” program.

On the morning of May 6, the “Rice ATMs and zero-dong supermarkets” program gave rice to locals with difficult living conditions through the rice ATM installed at Hanh Chieu monastery in Long Thanh district.

It is known that to join hands in taking care of those with difficult living conditions due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic in the province, Dong Nai Department of Science and Technology has, up to now, designed and manufactured 6 rice ATMs to support departments, committees, sectors units, and localities.
