6 provincial-level science and technology tasks in the agricultural sector in 2019 passed Update: 15-06-2019
Lately, Dong Nai Department of Science and Technology (DOST) established an advisory council to determine the list of provincial-level science and technology tasks in 2019 under the program of “Applying science and technology to industrialization and modernization of agriculture and rural areas to increase export capacity and farmers’ income”.

On the basis of 12 proposals, the advisory council members analyzed and discussed the urgency of the implementation of the themes and projects; inter-sector and inter-region features and importance of the scientific issues posed in proposed tasks; the need to mobilize national scientific and technological resources for the implementation of themes and projects; and the ability to mobilize non-budget funding for the implementation of projects.

 

As a result, the Council voted for the 6 out of 12 proposals:

 

1. The project of “Studying to select the first-line individuals for some high-yield and high-quality fruit trees in Dong Nai province”.

 

2. The project of “Studying applying pre-and-post-harvest treatment technology to ensure safety, improve quality, and extend the preservation time for mangoes and durians in Dong Nai”.

 

3. The project of “Studying to select acacia hybrid varieties for the economic afforestation in Dong Nai province”.

 

4. The project of “Studying the technical measures of cultivating water celery meeting VietGAP standards water in Gia Kiem commune, Thong Nhat district, Dong Nai province”.

 

5. The project of “Studying the model of growing lingzhi mushrooms in the forest of Acacia hybrid”.

 

6. The project of “Exploiting the genetic resources of Dong Nai’s black pig breeds”.
